River Aliakmonas

Aliakmonas, the longest river (310 km) of Greece, joins with its unstoppable flow yesterday, as the first settlements built on its banks date back to the Neolithic era, and since then life has not ceased never run alongside its waters.

In its springs and along its bed, there is a rare wetland with 35 species of fish, 215 species of birds (among them many rare and protected species), as well as many mammals, reptiles and amphibians.

Guests can explore the areas near the shores and admire the rare natural riches of the river or fish. The more daring can try their skills in rafting, canoeing or kayaking.
